On April 24, 2018, the body of Dewayne Dean Kerr, an unclaimed individual, was discovered in Emporia, Kansas. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and his remains have been held in anticipation of locating any next of kin who might come forward to claim him. Efforts to trace family members or acquaintances have yet to yield results, and his body remains under the care of the relevant authorities.
