On April 1, 2019, the body of an unidentified male, later determined to be Jesus Pontoja, was discovered by a ranger at a campsite in a remote area of Wilder Ranch State Park, located in Santa Cruz, California. The site where Mr. Pontoja’s body was found is known for its expansive natural beauty, offering numerous trails and campsites nestled within its rugged terrain.
