On August 9, 2023, the unresponsive body of Edward James Goudeau was discovered at a wooded campsite in Arlington, Texas. Officers conducting a routine welfare check stumbled upon the grim scene and immediately called for emergency medical assistance. Despite efforts to save him, Goudeau was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital emergency room, leaving behind a case marked as UCP130815 in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs).
