On February 7, 2023, an unidentified male body, later identified as Michael Gordon Lawrence, was found and transported to Tampa General Hospital from an unknown location. Despite receiving medical attention, Lawrence's condition deteriorated, and he passed away while under inpatient care at the hospital.
