On December 26, 1981, the body of a male, later identified as Robert Glenn Pelcher, was discovered following an automobile versus pedestrian traffic collision in Santa Monica, California. The incident was not classified as a hit and run, indicating the driver involved remained at the scene or was otherwise accounted for.
