On May 5, 2024, a routine welfare check led to the discovery of Jerry Linnett's body in his Santa Monica residence. The maintenance staff was summoned to inspect Linnett's well-being, which prompted the intervention of the Santa Monica Police Officers. Accompanied by the property manager, who provided a key, they accessed Linnett's locked home. Unfortunately, upon entering, they found Linnett deceased, and his death was officially pronounced at 9:05 PM.
