On January 12, 2007, the body of a deceased male, later identified as Wilbur Melendez, was discovered in a severely decomposed state inside a trailer located in Wilmington, California. This unsettling discovery marked the beginning of an extensive investigation by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office.
