Stephen Joseph Sherry, a 77-year-old White male, was found deceased in his La Mesa, California residence on April 13, 2022. Neighbors, concerned for his wellbeing, prompted a welfare check by the local police after noticing an absence of activity around his home. When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered a locked residence and, upon entry, discovered Mr. Sherry unresponsive on the bedroom floor. Signs of decomposition indicated that he had been deceased for some time.
