On April 30, 2022, a male body was discovered in Columbia, South Carolina, later identified as Ha-Hoang That Ton. The decedent was an in-patient at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital at the time of his passing. Despite the efforts to trace any relatives or acquaintances, Ha-Hoang That Ton was found to have no known next-of-kin. His status as a homeless individual further complicated the search to connect him with any family or friends who might have claimed him.
