On August 2, 2016, the body of an unidentified female, later referred to as L. Jane Ostlie, was discovered in Loma Linda, California. Despite being under medical care, she died as a patient at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. Her case remains unresolved, as no family members have come forward to claim her, and her identity prior to hospitalization remains unverified.
