Ruth Ellen Shelton, aged 17, was one of the four victims in the tragic Burger Chef murders that occurred on the night of November 17, 1978, in Speedway, Indiana. Ruth, along with her colleagues Jayne Friedt, Daniel Davis, and Mark Flemmonds, was working at the Burger Chef restaurant when they were abducted during what initially appeared to be a petty theft.
