On September 18, 2014, Brandon Jefferson, age 31, was killed in a shooting incident in the Haughville neighborhood of Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) was alerted when officers on patrol heard gunshots in the vicinity of the 700 block of North Sheffield Avenue.
