Robert J. "Rob" Grant, a 37-year-old resident of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on August 1, 2015. His death was ruled a suicide by the LaPorte County Police. Grant, who had been a Michigan City police officer for 12 years, was found dead from a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound inside his pickup truck. The discovery was made after his wife reported him missing when she was unable to reach him on his cell phone.
