Michael Joseph Vanhorn, aged 48, was found dead on July 28, 2016, in Martinsville, Indiana. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office discovered his body inside a home located in the 6800 block of Waverly Road. An autopsy revealed that Vanhorn had been shot multiple times, leading to his death. The investigation quickly identified Kristie L. Dant, a 54-year-old woman from Brownsburg, as a suspect. Authorities issued a murder warrant for Dant, who was subsequently taken into custody.
