In the summer of 2017, the life of 27-year-old Cody Klotz, a male resident of Lowell, Indiana, was cut short in a fatal confrontation. The tragic events of July 15, 2017, stemmed from a dispute with Charles Bayne, who was dating Klotz's former fiancée. The conflict, which had been simmering through heated Snapchat messages, escalated when Klotz decided to confront Bayne in person.
