Richard "Alex" Watkins, a 31-year-old resident of Wabash, Indiana, tragically lost his life on July 15, 2019. Watkins was found lying near the street in the 200 block of East Main Street, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. The Wabash County Coroner officially ruled his death a homicide by firearm. Watkins was known for his love of sports, particularly baseball and basketball, and had recently started coaching his son's t-ball team.
