In the summer of 2017, the life of 25-year-old Mark Secrest Jr. was tragically cut short in a brutal double homicide in Indianapolis. On the morning of July 12, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on the city's northeast side, near the intersection of East 30th Street and Caroline Avenue.
