Carlis J. Falls, a 43-year-old former semi-professional football player, was tragically shot and killed on December 28, 2021, in Evansville, Indiana. Falls, who had played as a running back for the now-defunct Evansville Vipers in the early 2000s, was shot in the 900 block of Oregon Street around 3:45 p.m. that day. According to the Vanderburgh County Coroner, Steve Lockyear, Falls succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital approximately half an hour after the shooting.
