In the winter of 2022, the community of Hagerstown, Indiana, was shaken by the violent death of one of its own. Thomas David Pierce, a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male, was found deceased on the afternoon of January 12th. His body was discovered at the scene of a shooting on Treaty Line Road, located just south of the town. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to a call around 3 p.m. and upon arrival, they confirmed that Pierce had been fatally shot.
