Connie R. Heerdt, aged 30, was found murdered on January 15, 1991, behind Doyle's Circle K Lounge in Rockford, Illinois. Her body was discovered in the parking lot by a utility worker checking wires at around 10:00 a.m. The Winnebago County Coroner determined that the cause of death was asphyxia due to manual strangulation.
