Edric Thomas, aged 26, was shot and killed on December 18, 2004, in Champaign, Illinois. The incident took place on the 100 block of South Kenwood Road at approximately 4:42 a.m. Edric and his wife had traveled to Champaign to help his mother-in-law relocate. While outside, a man described as over 6 feet tall and wearing a red puffy coat approached them and demanded money. The suspect then shot Edric and fled the scene, heading westbound.
