In a violent eruption of a long-standing family feud, 35-year-old Bernard Shiflett, a male resident of the Millboro area, was fatally wounded in a gun duel that also claimed the life of his adversary, Manuel Morris, age 45. The deadly confrontation unfolded in the small community of Nimrod, located near Stanardsville in Greene County, Virginia.
