On a tragic evening in Chesapeake, Virginia, the life of 24-year-old Andre Vincent Jackson was cut short. On June 7, 2005, Jackson, known affectionately as 'Worm,' was shot and killed. He was not alone in his final moments; with him were two friends, Nathaniel “Huggy” Huggins, III, and Motty Novec “Motox” Toxey, Jr., both 23 years old, who also lost their lives in the violent encounter.
The three men were discovered inside a residence in the 500 block of Marcus Street at approximately 9:40 p.m., all having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
The friends were reportedly spending the evening together, watching television, when the attack occurred. A family member of Huggins was on the phone with him at the time and recalled hearing loud bangs before the conversation abruptly ended. After several unsuccessful attempts to call back, concerned family members went to the residence and made the grim discovery. Investigators learned that a dark-colored SUV with custom wheels was seen in the vicinity around 9:00 p.m. that evening. A Black male with a short afro, wearing a white t-shirt and dark-colored pants, was reportedly seen exiting the vehicle.
Despite the passage of time, the case of Andre Vincent Jackson and his two friends remains an unsolved cold case. The Chesapeake Police Department continues to investigate the triple homicide, but no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The motive behind the killings remains unclear. Described as polite young men who grew up together, attended church, and shared a passion for music, their sudden and violent deaths left a lasting wound in the community. Authorities continue to appeal to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in the case and bring closure to the families of the three young men.
