In the autumn of 2011, the life of 25-year-old Elston 'Deon' Brown was abruptly cut short in James City County, Virginia. On November 4th, Brown, a former standout basketball player at Lafayette High School, was involved in a fatal altercation that stemmed from a history of disputes. That evening, Brown went to a residence on Theodore Allen Road where Desmond Glenn Holland, then 20 years old, was present with other individuals.
