Michael Lynn Koch, 56, of Nampa, Idaho, tragically lost his life on March 6, 2021. The incident occurred at his residence on Portner Road in Nampa around 8:15 AM. Ronald Carpenter, 76, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting. Carpenter claimed self-defense, stating that Koch threatened him with a baseball bat.
