On a Sunday night in April of 2013, the life of 30-year-old Corey Vann Mills, a male from Dinwiddie, VA, was tragically cut short. Just after 10:00 PM on April 7th, deputies from the Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of shots fired in the 25000 block of Dinwiddie Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Mills in the street just outside his home, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was transported to the medical examiner's office in Richmond for an autopsy.

At the time of his death, he was an employee of a local Taco Bell and also enjoyed doing landscaping work. Remembered as being well-liked by those who knew him, he was an avid fan of the New York Giants and had a passion for creating music as an aspiring rapper. His sudden and violent death left his family, including his parents and a devoted brother, as well as a special friend and her son, to mourn their profound loss.
