In the spring of 2013, a domestic dispute in a quiet Stafford, Virginia neighborhood culminated in the tragic death of 42-year-old Julie Serna Gonzales, a Hispanic mother of two. On the afternoon of April 19, Stafford County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call from a residence on Alderwood Drive, where they discovered Gonzales suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
