Lakshmi Bhat, a 62-year-old resident of Falls Church, Virginia, tragically lost her life on June 17, 2013, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. The incident occurred at the Skyline Towers apartment complex, located on the 5500 block of Seminary Road. According to reports from the Fairfax County Police Department, Lakshmi Bhat was shot and killed by her 36-year-old son-in-law, Anand Venkata, who subsequently took his own life.
