On August 3, 2014, the small community of Culpeper, Virginia, was shaken by a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of six-year-old Onya Washington and her family. Onya, along with her parents, Clarence and Shauna Washington, and her two sisters, Olivia (4) and Omesha (13), were found dead in their home. The initial investigation by the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office revealed that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide carried out by Clarence Washington.
