In the pre-dawn hours of a Saturday in Gainesville, Virginia, a dispute escalated into deadly violence, claiming the life of 23-year-old Claude Lee Jackson III. On September 12, 2015, at approximately 1:50 a.m., shots rang out near Old Linton Hall Road and Charis Avenue, the culmination of a physical altercation. Jackson, a resident of Gainesville, was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. He was a male.
