James Wenjie Chen, a 16-year-old sophomore at Langley High School, tragically died on January 27, 2017, in McLean, Virginia. The incident, which also claimed the lives of his parents, Shirley Zhou, 48, and Hong Chen, 52, was determined by Fairfax County Police to be a domestic-related double murder-suicide. According to the police, Hong Chen fatally shot his wife and son before taking his own life.
