In the quiet community of Blairs, Virginia, the life of Ricky Jerome Myers, a 36-year-old Black man, was cut short in a sudden act of violence. On November 11, 2017, Myers was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head. He was emergently transported to a trauma center and was initially listed in stable condition.
