Alistair C. Smith, a 24-year-old resident of Unionville, Virginia, tragically lost his life on February 13, 2018, in Locust Grove, Virginia. The incident occurred at Wendall’s Place Laundromat on Route 20, where Smith was fatally shot. The Orange County Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call around 9:20 a.m. reporting the shooting.
Following the incident, Michael Alan Humphries II, a 36-year-old man from Locust Grove, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Smith's death
