Travis Wayne Pannell, a 30-year-old man from Halifax, Virginia, was found dead on October 24, 2019, in Franklin County, Virginia. His body was discovered on the side of the road in the 7900 block of Jubal Early Highway after he had been reported missing since October 8, 2019. Pannell was last seen on October 4, 2019, at a party in Roanoke, Virginia, before he got into a car and disappeared. The Medical Examiner determined that Pannell died from gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
