In the fall of 2019, the life of 30-year-old Travis Wayne Pannell, a Black male from Halifax, Virginia, was tragically cut short. His story unfolded from a missing person's case into a homicide investigation that would ultimately lead to the conviction of two men. Pannell was last seen alive on October 4, 2019, at a party in Roanoke. After getting into a car, he vanished, prompting a report of his disappearance on October 8.
