Ayanna Munne Maertens Griffin, an 18-year-old from Germantown, Maryland, tragically died on February 8, 2020, in Alton, Virginia. Ayanna, along with her close acquaintance Ntombo Joel Bianda, was found dead near a single-vehicle crash site on Route 58 in Halifax County. The Virginia State Police responded to the incident around 2:51 a.m. and discovered their bodies lying near a silver 2009 Nissan Maxima registered to Bianda.
