Deangelo Tyrone Griffin, a 27-year-old resident of Wakefield, Virginia, was found dead on April 5, 2020. His body was discovered in a ditch along Brittles Mill Road, just outside the town limits of Wakefield. The Sussex County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene early that Sunday morning after receiving a call about a man's body in a wooded area. Upon arrival, deputies found Griffin with a fatal gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene.
