On a Thursday morning in Accomac, Virginia, the life of 25-year-old Dajon Trikece Wise came to a sudden and violent end. It was April 28, 2022, when police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 13/Lankford Highway at the intersection of Front Street and Mary N Smith Road. Arriving at the scene around 7:35 a.m., troopers discovered a silver 2011 Ford Focus in the median. Inside the vehicle was the driver, Dajon Trikece Wise of Parksley, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Born on March 22, 1997, in Nassawadox, Virginia, Dajon was a resident of the Accomack area for his entire life, having attended both Accomack and Norfolk Public School Systems. He was employed at Perdue Farms in Accomac. In his youth, he was baptized and joined the Holy Trinity Baptist Church in April of 2008. Known for his love of basketball, he earned the nickname 'RONDO' on the court and enjoyed teaching the sport to younger children in his neighborhood. He was described as someone who was always fun to be around.
