Amber Dawn Compton, a 35-year-old resident of Vansant, Virginia, tragically passed away on October 22, 2022. Amber, who was seven months pregnant at the time of her death, was found deceased in her home with multiple gunshot wounds. The discovery was made after a 911 call reported her missing. Authorities from the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the scene and conducted a forensic investigation.
