Jesus Silvia, 39, a Hispanic male from Jacksonville, Arkansas, vanished in early June 2004. He was last seen on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in Jacksonville in the company of a man described by authorities as an alleged drug trafficker. When he did not resurface, he was reported missing the next day, June 9, setting off a search that quickly focused on the days and associates leading up to his disappearance.
Two weeks later, on Thursday, June 24, 2004, human remains were discovered off Rio Vista Road in rural White County and were identified as Silvia. The recovery site lay in the countryside near Bald Knob, underscoring how far he had traveled—or been taken—from the place he was last seen alive.
