In the early morning hours of June 21, 2017, a sense of unease settled over a normally quiet commercial area in Maple Shade, New Jersey. Behind the Iron Hill Brewery and adjacent Albo Appliance store on East Kings Highway, the day began not with the usual sounds of deliveries and preparations, but with the sharp report of gunfire. When police responded to the scene at approximately 8:25 a.m., they discovered the body of 26-year-old Devon Young of Willingboro. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and, despite the efforts of emergency personnel, was pronounced dead at the scene.
