In the autumn of 2020, the community of Salem City, New Jersey, was shaken by a violent act that resulted in the death of John 'Johnboi' Robinson, a 33-year-old Black/African American male. On October 8th, Robinson was found deceased under circumstances that immediately prompted a homicide investigation by local law enforcement. His death was the result of a shooting, an incident that not only took his life but also that of another man, 28-year-old Derek Akins.
