Lloyd "Taboo" Tyler, aged 27, was one of the eight victims of the Hazelwood massacre, a tragic event that occurred on June 14, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan. The massacre took place at a house on Hazelwood Street, where all eight victims were shot and killed in the living room of an apartment. The victims, all African-American, were shot in the head at close range with firearms of three different calibers: a .30-caliber carbine, a .32-caliber pistol, and a .45-caliber automatic.
