In the quiet Princeton Estates neighborhood of Kentwood, Michigan, a tragic event unfolded in early January 2013, forever altering the peace of the community. David Bouwman, an 81-year-old male, and his 80-year-old wife, Vivian, were found murdered in their home. The couple, who were well-loved by friends and family, had been fatally shot at close range in what was determined to be a home invasion. The grim discovery was made after a neighbor noticed signs of a break-in at their residence.
