Joseph Michael Carson, a 31-year-old independent professional wrestler known as J.J. Carson, was tragically killed on January 27, 2017, in a drug-related double homicide. Carson and another man, Anthony Lee Hammond, were found dead in a car parked outside a Walmart in Owosso, Michigan. The incident stemmed from a planned marijuana transaction arranged via Craigslist, which turned fatal when the two men were shot and robbed.
