De'Quaris Essex, a 17-year-old resident of Saginaw, Michigan, tragically lost his life on February 1, 2017. The incident occurred at the intersection of Cass and South Harrison near the Saginaw County Sheriff's Department. Essex was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His death marked the third homicide in the city and the fourth in the county since the beginning of that year.
