On February 24, 2017, 17-year-old Reginald Rose-Robinson, a student at Garden City High School, was fatally shot on Detroit's west side. The incident occurred around 6:24 p.m. near the intersection of Plymouth and Meyers Roads. Rose-Robinson and a friend were walking out of a store when an SUV approached, and shots were fired, striking Rose-Robinson in the head and killing him instantly.
