On a cold January evening, the lives of a Michigan family were shattered in a tragic act of violence on the shoulder of Interstate 96 in Boston Township. Lisa Somers, a 51-year-old female, was shot and killed by her husband in what authorities later determined to be a murder-suicide on Saturday, January 6, 2018. The incident left her daughter wounded but alive to recount the harrowing moments that led to her mother's death.
