In the late summer of 2018, a dispute between neighbors in Ecorse, Michigan, escalated to a fatal encounter, leaving a young father dead. On the morning of Sunday, September 16, 2018, 30-year-old Dino Cortez Martin was shot and killed inside his apartment building, the River Park Apartments, located near Jefferson Avenue and Southfield Road.
