Brian Anderson, a 31-year-old man from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost his life on July 6, 2019. Anderson was fatally shot in an incident that also left another man, Malcolm Drake, critically wounded. The shooting occurred after Anderson and Drake were contacted through the dating app Grindr by Demetris Nelson, a 26-year-old Detroit resident. Nelson allegedly targeted the two men because of their sexual orientation, intending to rob them.
