On November 30, 2021, a mass shooting occurred at Oxford High School in Oxford Township, Michigan. The perpetrator, 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley, a sophomore at the school, opened fire with a 9mm SIG Sauer SP 2022 semi-automatic pistol. During the attack, he killed four students and injured seven other people, including a teacher. One of the students who tragically lost his life was Justin Shilling, a 17-year-old male student.
